Because Birth is HARD
Lets have an honest conversation here. Whether you are preparing for pregnancy, struggling with your fertility, progressing along your journey, or in the first couple months postpartum, the experience of birthing new life comes with many challenges.
Regular massage can reduce discomfort through all stages of pregnancy and help support the body, mind and nervous system through the many major physical changes that come. Adding a good massage therapist as a part of your birth team can help avoid injuries as the body grows and changes rapidly in a short period of time helping you to be physically fit no matter the birth plan you have.
Massage has also been shown to stimulate cellular repair and healing in that critical early post partum window we like to call the "fourth trimester" and can help the body recover more quickly, stimulate milk production and support emotional wellness helping to avoid or reduce post partum depression.
Unfortunately, many massage school educations gloss through pregnancy work in a short window of time leaving most massage therapists with a lack of understanding and confidence working with clients during this stage of their lives. Phoenix has continuing education, over 20 years of hands-on work in pregnancy massage and postpartum as wel las having gone through the journey herself, assuring you that both humans will be in good hands while receiving services with her.
