Getting the Most out of your Massage

With 20+ years of hands on massage work also comes 20+ years of continuing education in a variety of modalities and the ability to TRULY customize your session to fit each clients unique needs. Each of the below services allow you to blend what feels right for you into YOUR massage without any additional costs to the session. Feeling overwhelmed by the options? I also customize suggestions based on your desired outcome of service.

Music Options

Music can make or break a good massage especially if you are an auditory person. It can also influence the state of mind you enter when receiving body work and have a response to the movements made during the session. I have a wide range of music options that span from subtle woodland sounds with Native American flutes, guided meditations to follow through your session, to Middle Eastern drums and base. If you have a particular playlist that you know relaxes you feel welcome to ask or share it. I have massaged to everything from classical Beethoven to heavy metal!

Aromatherapy, Herbs & Topical Enhancements

Most of my massage oils include aromatherapy and/or herbs infused into the medium. I carry several blends to choose from with floral notes to citrus options and more stimulating mint herbal blends. Certain herbs and oils can help relax tight muscle tissue while others can help regulate the nervous system, the hormonal system or the more subtler bodies. I also carry certified organic pesticide free cold pressed unscented jojoba oil and sweet almond oil if you are skin sensitive and want to make sure you are using the least potentially reactive products. Topical Magnesium and/or CBD can be blended into any of the above products.

Hot Stones & Hot Towels

Heat can be extremely helpful in getting stubborn muscles to relax. Whether its a full body hot stone massage to release deep set tension without the desire for deep pressure work or just a couple hot towels on the feet so you don't have to slip oily feet back into your socks and shoes, I got you.

Dynamic & Static Cupping Techniques

Cupping is a great way to work muscle tissue "from the inside out" and creates a unique pull instead of push feeling when used on the body. Similar to hot stones, it allows me to work deep without firm pressure that is sometimes not preferred from clients. Don't want to leave the massage looking like you got into a fight with an octopus? While static cupping (when the cup is left in a single location) does have the potential to leave marks on the body, dynamic cupping (using the cups to glide along the muscles similar to swedish massage strokes) helps to break up adhesions in the connective tissue freeing the muscles to move more naturally and reduce pain.
